HWC Preview: Ostkaka vs. Pinpingho

Quarterfinal #2: Ostkaka (fifth from left) vs. Pinpingho (second from left)

The second quarterfinal of the Hearthstone World Championship features a dark horse from Sweden as well as "I am Shaman itself".

A year ago, Sebastian "Ostkaka" Engwall was well known in the pro scene, but the regular fan hadn't heard of him. Now, after he got second place at SeatStory Cup 3, made a name for himself as one of the best Patron Warrior players out there in the ATLC, signed with Na'Vi and qualified for BlizzCon through the European Championship, it's safe to say he's not too unknown anymore. Instead, people are considering him being in a similar spot as James "Firebat" Kostesich was last year: very well prepared, not very known, but with good chances to take it all.

His opponent is Kwo-Ping "Pinpingho" Ho from Taiwan, one of the best known players from the APAC region. He's known for always bringing Midrange Shaman to tournaments, no matter how good or bad the deck is considered in the metagame - lately, he dubbed himself "I am Shaman itself" because of how much he loves the deck. It will be interesting to see how the decision to bring out Shaman once more will turn out for him.
