M4 World Championships: The full list of challengers

With the MPL seasons over across the globe, we now begin our countdown to the M4 World Championships in January 2023.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has quickly seen great expansion across the world, with the likes of Latin America, Brazil, and even the Middle East and Northern Africa getting their own MPL events. With that, the game’s World Championships have definitely become more exciting, as teams begin to explore new meta strategies, and challenge even the best teams from the likes of the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia. With all the MPL events, and other qualifiers, now complete, the full list of teams for the fourth World Championship iteration has been uncovered.

The teams:

  • Blacklist International - MPL PH Champion (S10)
  • ECHO - MPL PH Runner Up (S10)
  • Onic Esports - MPL ID Champion (S10)
  • RRQ Hoshi - MPL ID Runner Up (S10)
  • Team HAQ - MPL MY Champion (S10)
  • TODAK - MPL MY Runner Up (S10)
  • RSG Singapore - MPL SG Champion (S4)
  • S11 Gaming Argentina - MPL SL Champion (S1)
  • Malvinas Gaming - MPL SL Runner Up (S1)
  • RRQ Akira - MPL BR Champion (S3)
  • Burn x Team Flash - MPL KH Champion (Autumn 2022)
  • Thrones Esport - MPL Mena Champions (Fall 2022)
  • Incendio Supremacy - Turkish Championship Champion (2022)
  • The Valley - NACT Champion (Fall 2022)
  • Falcon Esports - Myanmar Qualifier
  • MDH Esports - Mekong Qualifier

The M4 World Championships is the final stop on the journey for the 2022 Mobile Legends Season, with 16 of the best teams from around the globe all competing for a chance to claim all the glory for themselves. M4 is set to take place in early January 2023, giving all the teams a significant amount of time to practice, rest, and get everything they need ready to fight in Jakarta, Indonesia – with a massive $800,000 on the line. The event is set to take place across two separate venues, with the MPL Arena (XO Hall) being home to the Group Stage, while the Playoffs will be held at the Istora Senayan GBK.

At the time of writing, we are unsure of which patch the World Championships will be played on, meaning that teams will possibly have to adjust their strategies closer to the time – especially after we saw a very mixed bag of hero choices in the most recent MPL events. With a few months to go before M4 kicks off, we are sure that the hype will build as time goes by, especially with Blacklist International looking ready to defend their championship title – and a host of teams ready to claim their own.
