The first qualifier for GGNL is coming to an end, with only the loser bracket finals and the grand final left. With this, we can still figure out which players are Top 6, and thereby qualified for the GGNL tournament. A tiebreaker had to be played between GO64.Fox and iR.ZpuX.
A
s we previously stated
, we are hosting two tournaments for the Swedish qualifier to GosuGamers Nordic League. One offline at OptiHack, and then another one online to give players who weren't present at OptiHack a second chance. Exactly when the online tournament will take place is not decided yet, however we will inform you in time.A
t OptiHack, the official
tournament was merged together with the OptiHack tournament, which means that the prizes for the OptiHack tournament were added to the prizes in the Swedish qualifiers. This also meant that it was extra prestige to win this tournament, because much was at stake. However, there was one player that ended Top 6 that didn't qualify for GGNL - ShamanOfDeath. After him, iR.ZpuX and GO64.Fox (picture) were tied 7th, so they had to play a tiebreaker to settle who would qualify for GGNL. After three close games, GO64.Fox proved to be the better player and won with 2-1. TreK | |
