t is always a major concern
for tournament administrators when a disconnection occurs. It is an even greater concern when this occurs when there are only six players remaining in the tournament and cash prizes are involved. Add the fact that one of the involved players in the conflict flew across half of Europe to participate.K
eNKa and Shaman were playing and suddenly
KeNKa's Brood War crashed. Since KeNKa was clearly in the lead and several people were observing live, we see no reason to believe it was an intentional disconnection.
SoL.Shaman (SoL.ggs) had four working mineral expansions but only one working gas remaining. The game ended where 
KeNKa had four stable expansions running, all with gas income. In his main, three starports (and one more coming up) were producing battle cruisers, three of them already finished. Shaman was just about to lose his only remaining gas income to four goliaths killing SCV by SCV. A

are Swedish and KeNKa is a member of the swedish national team. Naturally we have a problem with nationality here. In respect of this and the fact that Raistlin and I are the managers of Team SWE where KeNKa is a member, we spoke to several non-Swedish Crew members of gosugamers, where they would judge the situation without being informed of the situation as a whole or knowing the usernames of the players in the replay. The strong agreement of all these individuals - without discussing with each other - voted win for KeNKa (referred to by them as the blue player). The main arguments were the four gas income expansions and naturally the battle cruisers coming up.

owever, due to the nature of this dispute
and the results it might have (such as accusations of favouring participants of the same nationalitiy as the referees), we have chosen to submit the replay to the public. This is a rather unusual decision in referee situations, however based on the circumstances of the dispute this a required move from our side. Please notice that regardless of your personal judging of the replay, the decision will not be changed ~ the submittance of the replay is not to gather the community's judgement. Instead see this as an evidence of our intentions to organize fair tournaments where everyone regardless of nationality or situation will be treated equally.Links
