Austin Texas will be the site of the next LAN in the United States.
Sign-ups are open for the TXGF January 2005 Austin LAN Party. The LAN will be from January 29th to 30th and will be a 24 hour event. They are still getting sponsors together and will be able to hold up to 100 participants in the LAN. The cost will be $10 USD and there will be many prizes to win!
I will be attending this LAN and perhaps making a small coverage of it while I am down in Texas. I will also be gaming there and hope to see some good games from the gamers down in Texas. StarCraft is the only game that will not be a First Person Shooter game, as the other titles to grace this LAN will be Counter Strike, Unreal Tournament, Doom 3, Half Life 2 and Quake 3.
If you are in the Austin area you might not want to miss this LAN, it seems like alot of fun. I am not sure what the exact schedule is for the tournaments, I read through all of the web site and it seems that they are still figuring it all out themselvvs, so look for updates on that.
