Much like the USA State Wars, the Swedish site Gamingeye is hosting Stadskampen, a tournament where the top Swedish players are battling for the honor of their city. The tournament started yesterday with a very close match between the South and the North.
There is a number of eight teams, where people from the same city make a team. The game format is 5 1on1s and 2 2on2s, played best of three. Many big Swedish profiles like TreK, KeNKa and KaaZ are playing in the event, and many good games are expected.
Umeå versus Malmö in the first match
In the first match, the Southern and Sweden's third largest city Malmö faced the Northern city Umeå. It was set up to be a good match, a match that held a lot of trash talk pre-game and during the games. Eventually, after a couple of hours, Malmö stood as the victors, thanks to a great performance by the two old Team SWE members Scribe and Phalle, who both won their 1on1s and their 2on2 together. It was as close as it could get, the games ending 9-9.
