Interview - Androide

[s]interview[/s]
The Russian gaming site cyberfight.ru recently had a chat with the winner of WCG Russia 2004, Russia Androide. Androide has always been known as a fierce terran user, but also plays protoss and zerg very well. He was on top of the WDTour ladder for most of its' duration, but did not partake in the final tournament.

His most recent notable tournament was a "F2F" match vs Spain ZelotITO, where he lost 2-3 to the powerful Spaniard (you can find coverage of that event » here). After reading this interview over, I am sure that it was originally conducted in Russian and then translated into English, so it may be a bit hard to understand some parts. Here is an interesting quote:cyberfight: International StarCraft community evaluates you losses with a little scepsis. They think you're losing more and more and stopped to show decent results. For example, let's review your last defeat in "Face To Face" matches against Zelotito. What's the source of such thoughts according to your opinion? Some people consider that you're not playing using your maximum resources? Is it true?

androide: I don't want to show off. SC is just hobby for me - I enjoy playing it. I think there're no people outside Korea who can beat me on LAN. When I'm playing over internet, I have no special stimulus to win. I know my scopes and it seems funny for me when someone thought that he's stronger if he'd won me Internet matches is no more than practice and it has no much sense. I don't care whether it "Face to Face" or something else. Usually I use 20-50% of my abilities while practicing.
Androide is seen by many as a favorite to go far in the WCG 2004 Finals. I found this interview enjoyable to read, and had a laugh at some of the translations. Check it out now!
