StarGate status announce

First of all we wish to thank everyone who has showed interest in the first season of StarGate. It's been two long days to make this work and the support needed to run this beast has been so huge.

I ask everyone to redirect your questions to the StarGate forums and not send a private message to any of the administrator. Please do not send guestbook messages, contact us at IRC or send an e-mail, everything is so much easier for us to handle through the forums.

Unfortunately the server has shut down two times during the first hours. This has been due to some kind of problem while running the server program pvpgn.exe including all the error logs. When it crashed the second time we instead used the server software called pvpgnconsol.exe and this one worked fine without crashing, but unfortunately all one on one and tvb games are counted as melee in this version. We are working on a solution to this and hopefully it wont take more than a day until it's back up but we chose to keep it stable with melee games instead of restarting it and ruining all the games.

Again, we've been working very hard to accept every account, investigate every matter and answering every question, but time flies. We are not professionals and we can't be here every minute of the day, unfortunately! We will have some administrators logged on for another couple of hours but during european night time don't expect too much. And please, help us out by telling everyone to post about their problems in the forums rather than online on the server, and to read the guides before asking! The question is most probably already answered previously.

We ask you to have patience with the server and meanwhile again thank you for the huge interest.
