[subject_korea]Week 8 from Ongamenet Mycube started today at 12.00 CET. Four games to be played in two different groups.
| Group B - Junwi - Reach |
First off, we saw  Junwi_[saM] play against [Oops]Reach. Both players with 1 win and 0 losses. The game started at  Nostalgia, Reach bottom left corner an Junwi upper left corner. I came a bit late to the first game so I saw Junwi just build a spire in the main as Reach dropped 4 zealots, successfully destroying it. No expansions, Junwi built lurkers and mutalisks. Mutalisks harassing a reaver, attacked it until it had 3 hp left. Don't know why, guess Junwi wasn't controlling his mutalisks since he was attacked by dark templars in his main. However, the reaver later got it's revenge but together with his nice shuttle friend got into Junwi's main and destroying his extractor and 4 drones. And made it out of there as well.
Junwi built lots of hydralisks as Reach earlier did a sneak expansion @ 4. Junwi attacked and successfully pushed out Reach main as he was trying to expand. Junwi with hydras, lurks and mutalisks. Reach got some probes away from the main to his hidden expansion as he attacked Junwi hatcherys (just building) @3 and @12. Reach also tried to expand down right, but got stopped by hydralisks. Junwi built 8 guardians, attacking Reach's expansion (note that it is his only remaning building). However, he made a bad mistake stacking them upon eachother and losing some of them on storm. He later attacked with hydras and mutalisks which resulted in a GG.

| Group A - ZeuS vs SM_Kingdom |
Game two started off on Sin Gaema Gowon. ZeuS (1 loss) bottom right versus SM_Kingdom (1 loss) upper right. Kind of slow game, Kingdom built 2-3 zealots running around in ZeuS base (chased by 4-5 zealots during the whole time) for like 5 mins. Both players advanced to goons, but Kingdom made more of them and some reavers as well, and added a loss to ZeuS PvP stats (1-8).

| Group B - YellOw vs XellOs |
| YellOw (1 loss) 33 wins and 19 loss versus Terran played againest XellOs (1 loss), 17 wins and 9 loss versus Zerg. This was a longer and far more interesting game than the other two, played on Nostalgia. Yellow went for fast lurkers and pulled it off, didn't let Xellos into his main. He stopped the scouting scv using two drones. Yellow upper left and Xellos upper right. Yellow managed to get a lurker into Xellos main (phone rang so I didn't see how) and killed lots of SCVs. Xellos built some vultures and researched for mines as Yellow built more lurkers placing them outside Xellos army. Yellow expanded down left and down right as he dropped lurks and lings into Xellos' main (5 overlords). Great defence by Xellos who killed all except for one of the dropping overlords with his turrets. Xellos never got a chance to expand or even attack, Yellow went for guardians as he built an ultralisk cavern and researched cracklings. The guardians got irridated so they didn't harm much, but later on a drop with cracklings and lurkers finally killed Xellos' defenses in his main. Xellos tried to counter at this time but was stopped by ultralisks and lings. --> GG. |
| Group A - Boxer vs Nal_Ra |
The game that I personally had looked forward to all week was this one.  Boxer (1 wins) has got a current TvP record of 16-12 against Nal_Ra's PvT 3-3 record. The game was played on Sin Gaema Gowon. Boxer upper left and Nal_Ra bottom right. Started in what looked like a calm game but ended up in chaos. Boxer built vultures and started mining outside Nal_Ra. Nal_Ra, only defended by 3 goons built in one gateway did a great job defending himself against 4-5 vultures. After some time of defence, suddenly a mine went from below the cliff, through the choke and up on the cliff killing two goons, only one remaning. This ended up with chaos in Nal_Ra's base, rapidly invaded by vultures attacking his probes. Just as this attack was in full swing, Nal_Ra had dropped a goon and a reaver in Boxer's main which was undefended at the time. It killed all SCV's except for 3 of them. Nal_Ra managed to fight away all of boxers vultures in his main and kept harassing upper left. He sent reinforcements (goons mainly) and another reaver. Boxer kept on fighting until his very last SCV (which took him about 5 mins of microing in a bad situation). I could hear myself saying "common, it's over..." I know it never is, but hey, this time it was. Boxer looked disappointed (wow he showed some emotions -.-a) and said GG. |
