Since we have our tournament system we should definitely use it. I have created a single elimination tournament that will take place Thursday, the 10th of March.
Here at GosuGamers we have a pretty new tournament script. Next Thursday, the 10th of March, we are going to host the first public tournament using it. The main purpose of the tour is to try to get to know the system better, and find bugs if there are any. We have tried to fix as many bugs as possible, but of course there may be more of them.
Played at PGTour's server
We want as many as possible to attend. It is going to be hosted on PGTour's Bnet-X server. That would mean we more or less eliminates the possibilities that someone might be using a hack, since their anti hack launcher is very up to date when it comes to detecting hacks. It also means that the maps being used has to be the PGTour maps, since you can not play any others.

Walkover and being AFK
To make the tournament run as smooth as possible, we have included some rules about walk overs and being away from keyboard. After 15 minutes of waiting for opponent in the first round, a win on walkover will be given. During this time the player has to search for his opponents in as many ways as he (or she) can. When we are right in the middle of the tournament you may not go away from keyboard for more than ten minutes. This is to keep up the tempo in it and avoid long waiting times.
Use correct nickname
One of the most important things is that you play with the nickname you registered with. E.g., if I would play in the tournament I would register with the nickname GG-ZoXXeR, and not ZoXXeR, since the first one is the username I have on PGTour. If you register with another nickname than the one you will use it can be very hard to find you on the server, even if you are online.
Registration and confirmation process
In the tournament section you log in with the same username and password as you have here on GosuGamers. When you view the tournament you can see a number of options in the right menu. You will find a box where it says "Registration". Enter your PGTour nickname and click the button. Viola, you are registered. When the time is 17:30 CET on Thursday a new option will appear in the right menu. Log in just the same way you did when you registered and click on the "Confirm" button. If everything is right a dot should appear in front of you name. That means you are confirmed and the script will include you in the seeding process.Loser reports the loss
When the brackets are released, simply check who you are going to play (it says who in the right menu) and contact him on Bnet-X. You both agree on a certain map, and if you can't agree, play on Gaema Gowon. After the game the loser goes to the tournament site, checks the right menu and clicks the button that says "Report". That will tell the script that you lost the match and will put the opponent as winner and eliminate you from the tournament.

If you face any kind of troubles or find any bug, contact an admin. Also, make sure to save replays. They might be needed if a conflict occurs.
