KT KTF Premiere League

KT_KTF-LEAGUE.jpgRemember KT KTF Premiere League? The league that was played about half a year ago, with 20 top progamers, divided into two groups, broadcasted by two different TV channels? Well it's back, and it's starting this Tuesday!

nada.jpgIn South Korea, there are different gaming TV channels, GameTV, MBCGame and OnGameNet to mention three. Each of those has a league of their own, or at least have had. Half a year ago, OnGameNet was looked upon as the most prestigious league with the most prize money involved. The winner Korea NaDa (picture) could, after winning all his games and the final against Korea Boxer, collect a great sum of money that was equal to 300 000 USD

KT KTF Premiere League was a great success
All of the sudden, a new league called KT KTF Premiere League was organised by MBCGame and GameTV, along with the sponsors KT-KTF, one of the biggest telecommunication companies in Korea. The sum of money was incredible, and the fact that you got ten games each round in the matter of two days also attracted many followers.

Impressive groups
This season's KT KTF Premiere League contains a lot of great players, for every race. How about the new Terran Emperor Iloveoov, the Zerg Master Yellow and the Magician Nal_Ra? All of those three are actually in the same group - Group A, which means how hot all the players are right now.

10+8+2 = 20
A number of 20 participants, where ten have qualified from a preliminary. Eight players were seeded, and two players have been bought in because of their team is the sponsor. That's right, Nal_Ra and Reach made it to the League thanks to their sponsors.

OnGameNet replaces GameTV
As last season's two TV channels were MBCGame and GameTV, this season GameTV has been replaced by OnGameNet. This means that people with an OnGameNet account on the Internet will be able to see the matches from Group B. The ones who don't have one of those, will have to settle for VODs and/or live coverage.

Starts 7th of September
This league will open its doors the 7th of September, with some great games like Boxer versus Yellow, Nal_Ra versus NaDa? Those, and a lot more coming up next week!
