Poland is today without a doubt one of the strong nations in Starcraft. They have perhaps one of the strongest most independent Starcraft communities. Much like Russia and China they have their own servers and have been bashing themselves to produce many strong gamers that materialize out of the blue in the world gaming community much like Blackman did.However, after digging in their community we realize many of these gamers have been playing almost since the game out, and much as Poland has been doing, they too are integrating themselves with the rest of the European nations.
A fine example of this is
ToT)Tomson.He is one of the best Polish players at the moment and as you can see he wears the )ToT( clan name which he is a member of. He is 18 years old and his name is Tomek. He used to be an all Terran player but has now gone all Zerg, which is an unusual switch. His APM tends to fly around 220-260 without too much hotkey abuse. His hotkey pattern is almost identical to Blackman and he is often accused rather unfairly of pretending to be him, both in the game and in attitude.
In Poland he played for clan eR (eR11-toms), then he left the polish clan community to play with the rest of European players. He was Polish national team captain in 04.2001 and 05.2003. He hopped around clans for a while, among them DBE, pG, TaO (his own clan) and finally obtained a place in the very famous ToT.

In the recent tournament LG sponsored BW4Ever he won 2:0 against Fayth[pG] and Timothy and lost to Legionnaire 0:2. You can find often him in Battle.net West giving school to unsuspecting hot shots.
