After a long pause, TeamLiquid's popular showpiece is back on track. The current title holder Legionnaire, the Australian currently living in Korea in the progaming team Hexatron DreamTeam has in the last rounds beaten ret and ElkY. This time, a big name in the scene was the challenger - Ogogo, the WCG Champion 2003.
The first game looked really bad for Legionnaire, since Ogogo is a master on Nostalgia. Ogogo made a second main before the Lair, which is a bit risky but it worked. When Legionnaire's Corsairs didn't work out that well, Ogogo raped him with his cracklings. 1-0!
The second game was played on Into the Darkness, a new MBC league map. It consists of 9 small islands connected by bridges. For a more thorough map description go to Manifesto7's newpost which you may find » here. Ogogo won the second game as well, thanks to economical advantage, Crackling massing and later on upgraded Hydralisks. According to Manifesto7 (I myself suck at telling if a map is preferred by any race) it was a nightmare for PvZ if the zerg is able to take both its expansions, and that's just what Ogogo did. 2-0 to the Korean!
The third game on Parallell Lines, where now Ogogo has an advantage of 2-0, which allows him to just swipe another win and the match is over. And that's just what he did. Thanks to once again the economy advantage of the Korean. Legionnaire really tried to destroy Ogogo's expansions, but with a swarm of mutalisks and scourges, it wasn't enough. 3-0 to Ogogo, and there's a new Liquibition Champion!
