Daniel Negreanu Rips Annie Duke's HOF Nomination

Asked to comment in Cannes, France about Annie Duke's Poker Hall of Fame nomination, Daniel Negreanu wasted no time in lambasting the fellow pro who he has feuded with for a decade. Negreanu was very candid in his interview with PokerListings during the World Series of Poker Europe.

“For what? Robbing people at UB? Owing Russ Hamilton money and never paying him back? For stealing money from people at the poker table?"

“For representing poker in the worst light imaginable when she was on Celebrity Apprentice? For all those things then yes.”

“If you took out the “F” and added an “Sh” in the word fame then yes, I think she should be inducted.”
The feud is supposedly fueled by Negreanu's resentment at being snubbed and disrespected by Duke when Negreanu was first getting established in Las Vegas. Howard Lederer at one point defended his sister and then tried to make the peace in more recent years, but the vehemence that Negreanu has for the two is rarely contained when asked point blank for his opinion on Duke.
Negreanu concluded by saying “Along with her brother, the Lederer family would be the king and queen of the poker Hall of Shame."
The 37-year-old has several more years before he will likely be inducted to the Poker Hall of Fame due to the Chip Reese rule that sets the minimum age for induction at 40.
