Thomas “Kallllle” Pedersen wins 2011 WCOOP Main Event

Dane Thomas “Kallllle” Pedersen won the 2011 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) main event collecting $1,260,018.50 in the process. Pedersen outlasted a stacked field of 1,627 players who showed up to play the $5,200 main event culminating the 2011 WCOOP. He became the only player in the 62 event series to win over a million U.S. dollars for a victory.

When play got five handed at the final table, the remaining players worked out a chip chop deal to ensure big paydays and reduce the luck factor to determine who won. Pedersen had a massive lead but worked out a fair deal for the other players and then went on to win the additional $100k and the title after the deal was struck.

Some notables who had deep runs but missed the final table included Niki “RealAndyBeal” Jedlicka (12th), Dani “supernova9” Stern (13th), Tom “kingsofcards” Marchese (23rd).
