Brit Ashley 'DYBYDX' Mason takes biggest prize from weekend WCOOP

Brit Ashley "DYBYDX" Mason was the big winner from the first weekend of events of the 2011 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP). Mason won event #2 the $10,300 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em event. He collected $430,000 for his win after defeating xraypies, a fellow Brit, in a tough 93 hand heads-up encounter. The prestigious tournament saw several other tournament heavyweights, Kevin "ImaLuckSac" MacPhee, Tobias "PokerNoob999" Reinkemeier and Tom "kingsofcards" Marchese, make the final table.

The High Roller event saw 200 entrants, a significant drop of 36% from the 313 who played last year.

6th: Tobias "PokerNoob999" Reinkemeier Germany- $100,000
7th: MatchBalla Denmark - $80,000
8th: SenorPokes Canada - $60,000
9th: Tom "kingsofcards" Marchese Canada - $40,000

Five other WCOOP events played out over the weekend. Jonathan "MONSTER_DONG" Karamalikis was the most notable for winning WCOOP Event #6, the $215+Rebuys Turbo No-Limit Hold'em tournament. He won $179,569 for outlasting the 1,589 players. K_0_S_T_Y_A won WCOOP event #3, the $215 No-Limit Hold'em event with over 10,000 entrants for the second largest score of the weekend at $288,660.
