
The official Epic Poker League began Tuesday at noon. The first $20,000 buy-in tournament in the series has $400,000 in added money. It is being played No-Limit 6-Max format and began with 126 players out of the 252 eligible to play the event.
Commissioner Annie Duke takes the microphone to welcome the players to the inaugural Epic Poker League Main Event. After some tournament instructions from Tournament Director Matt Savage, Palms owner George Maloof gives the "shuffle up and deal" command.
George Lind, Michael Mizrachi, Mike Watson, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Joseph "subiime" Cheong, Phil Laak, Jonathan Little, Scott Clements and William Reynolds were early eliminations as the field approached 100 players left after the first several hours of play.
