Huck Seed Wins $670k Playing Video Poker

Huck Seed didn't have a good World Series of Poker going 0-23 along with his nearly $200k in buy-ins. In fact, he hasn't cashed in a poker tournament since September of 2010, but that didn't prevent the former Main Event camp from making a massive score playing high stakes video poker.

Seed, in his usual humorous and sarcastic manner, broke the news on his Twitter feed “Internet poker is down in the US, but I’m still pressing buttons!” (with pic)

The 42-year-old Seed hit his Royal Flush at Aria Casino in Last Vegas. He had been playing $500 per hand with his goal to win the large Progressive Jackpot.

Seed had read some books on video poker to determine his edge and play the optimal way with his 0.65% edge when factoring in the jackpot. Seed had previously had little success in taking on the video poker jackpot, even taking on investors. This time he hit big playing on his own.

Seed had been playing for nearly six hours, between 500-1000 hands an hour with what he felt was a $3 per hand edge not factoring in comps. Seed admitted that he was down $50,000 when the jackpot hit.

This was Seed's first major bankroll infusion since his 2010 WSOP Tournament of Champions win where he won $500k for beating the field of former champions.
