Oscar Lima, a 23-year-old online poker player from Zaragoza, Spain established the chip lead with over 130,000 in chips on Day 1B.
Experienced Finnish pro Jani Sointula is second in the chip counts.
There will be 40 players who make the money in the €4,000 buy-in main event that started with 282 players and created a prize pool of €1,071,600. The winner will receive €275,000.
Just as on Day 1A, there were five more former EPT champions who played including Jens Kyllonen, Kevin Stani, Sebastian Ruthenberg, Michael Tureniec and Toby Lewis. All were eliminated but Kyllonen and Stani.
Despite the decrease in field size, 40 countries from around the world were represented in this event.
