PokerStars Cashouts Begin For U.S. Players

PokerStars representative Steve Day announced earlier Tuesday that the cash out process for Americans had officially begun. Cash out methods are in place to allow all U.S. poker players to cash out their balances on PokerStars if you visit the cashier.

Depending on your existing balance, different methods are available. For players with a large balance of $50,000 or more can wire transfer the funds. Players with over $100 can request a check up to $2,500 a day.

Lastly, any players can request, and all players with less than $100, must use a Direct Bank Transfer. The transfer method states processing will take up to 72 hours to reach the processor with payment appearing in player’s bank accounts within five business days after that.

Initial problems have appeared as only 9 digits are able to be entered in the bank account number field while many US bank accounts have 10-12 long digit account numbers.

Players will be forced to cash out their entire balance.

No word yet from Full Tilt Poker on when their withdrawals will be processed. Word arrived on Monday that Absolute Poker was involved in discussions with the DOJ on arriving at a similar resolution, but nothing had been established. Absolute Poker is considering fighting legally the order as presented. They are licensed in Antigua who is deciding on whether to file a protest with the World Trade Organization.
