2010 World Series of Poker Main Event champion was the star celebrity at the 2011 Macau Millions main event at the Casino Grand Lisboa. The PokerStars sponsored event invited the WSOP champ for his first visit to Macau.
"I was curious how many local players would recognize Jonathan." said PokerStars Macau Marketing Manager Fred Leung. "I greeted him at the poker room and it literally took all of 10 seconds before fans were asking for photos with the champ. Jonathan's a great guy with tremendous talent and no ego.
"He's going to be a great ambassador for the game and a fantastic addition to Team PokerStars. It was an honor to have him as part of our historic journey this week."
"It's my first time to Macau and I'm having a great time." said Duhamel
A bounty consisting of an autographed jacket from the new PokerStars Macau collection was put on Duhamel's head and collected when one lucky player beat the champ in a classic coin flip.
"(Duhamel) played a loose-aggressive style that I'm trying to incorporate into my game." said poker pro Justin Chan. "He's a very good player. It was definitely exciting to play a world champ and you could tell the other players on the table were enjoying it and wanted to do well against him."
