Duhamel Wins EPT Deauville High Rollers Event

World Series of Poker World Champion Jonathan Duhamel has his first significant victory since his November 2010 WSOP victory in winning the EPT Deauville High Roller's event for €203,232.

After frustration at the recent PCA, Duhamel played EPT Deauville with added interest coming from french-speaking Quebec. He didn't advance far in the main event, but entered the $10,000 High Roller event.

There were 58 players in the High Roller event and 16 who advanced to day 2 of the event; Duhamel sat third in chips at that point.

Duhamel defeated Frenchman Alain Confino heads up in a set up hand where he held A,K to Confino's A,J.

After his massive $8.9 million WSOP victory in November, Jonathan Duhamel pledged that he would use the result to propel his career and aim for more live tournament wins in the future.

With the win, he jumps to 16th in the all time live tournament winnings list.
Duhamel said afterwards..."I'm so happy right now. I love poker!"
Next week, Duhamel is flying to Foxwoods for the November Nine Reunion at the Mega Stack challenge.
