High Stakes Hold'em - New Weekly Poker Show Coming

Positive news for fans of televised high stakes poker. Red Deck Productions has announced that it will begin filming a new poker show called High Stakes Hold'em in late March at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada.

Although the broadcast schedule and air times have yet to be released, it will be a weekly one-hour show that will air nationwide starting in mid-2011.

Thirteen episodes will be filmed of high stakes ring game with two special episodes culminating the season with Atlantis All In Poker Series.

“High Stakes Hold’em will be a completely new experience for the poker viewing public,” Eric Ulis, founder and CEO of Red Deck Productions, wrote in a press release. “HSH will be edgy, aggressive, and very unique.”

Some of the poker players scheduled to participate include Dan "jungleman12" Cates, Andrew "luckychewy" Lichtenberger, Dan “djk123” Kelly, Amit “Amak316” Makhija, Melanie “Callisto” Weisner, and Matt “mcmatto” Affleck. It looks like they will feature top online players and respected players who haven't quite made the national poker TV exposure game yet.

Eric Ulis and 2007 World Series of Poker Player of the Year Tom Schneider will be providing commentary for the series.
