Liquid'Nazgul continued his dominating play in the Razer StarCraft II Beta Domination tournament in the quarter-finals by defeating White-Ra 3-0. Nazgul now has a record of 9-1 in the Domination tournament which is the best record in the tournament so far.
Facing Nazgul in the semi-finals will be MYM.DeMusliM. DeMusliM had a hard fought quarter-final round against the Spanish Terran Lucifron. Both elected to go off-races for several games and the result was a mix of PvT games and even a mirror PvP game. Eventually DeMusliM would come out on top winning the fifth and final game of the match on Kulas Ravine.
Having lost only one game in his previous matches, HayprO came into the quarter-finals tied for the best record with Nazgul. However that all changed when Strelok was able to take the match 3-1 knocking HayprO out of the playoffs.
Strelok now faces fellow-countryman DIMAGA in the semi-finals. DIMAGA and Brat_OK were forced to go to a game 5 as four games was not enough to decide a winner. DIMAGA cleverly hid his Nydus Canal and Baneling Nest at a high-yield expansion on Blister Sands where an overlord was generating creep. He was able to catch Brat_OK off guard when his army popped up in the Terran's base. Having not seen this attack coming with his earlier scans of the Zerg base Brat_OK tried his best to put up a fight, but in the end was taken out of the playoffs.
The semi-finals start today with a match between Strelok and DIMAGA at 20:00 CET. The next match will be between Liquid'Nazgul and DeMusliM on May 4th at 18:00 CET. All matches will be streamed.
