Dave and Banco will continue their adventure on Subnautica 2’s ocean moon.
Dave the Diver developer MINTROCKET is teaming up with Subnautica 2 developer Unknown Worlds to deliver a free DLC pack in early 2027. This fitting crossover will take Dave and Banco to a new dimension, where they will explore the uncharted waters of Proteus and encounter numerous creatures from the Subnautica 2 universe.
The Dave the Diver – Subnautica 2 Content Pack is now available to wishlist on supported platforms, including PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. The DLC will be free for players who already own the base game.

What is the Dave the Diver x Subnautica 2 DLC?
Released in 2023, Dave the Diver features underwater exploration, tasking players with venturing into the deep sea to gather ingredients for their sushi restaurant. The game has previously collaborated with franchises such as Godzilla and Balatro, but its crossover with Subnautica 2 is obviously particularly fitting.
The two deep-sea exploration games are joining forces for a DLC in which Dave and Banco, having explored their original dimension, venture into new territory on the ocean moon Proteus. Players will also encounter otherworldly species from the Subnautica 2 universe–and yes, this includes the iconic and terrifying Leviathan.
“New waters, strange creatures, and unexpected discoveries await beyond the portal. Explore the unfamiliar ocean moon Proteus, filled with unfamiliar creatures and valuable resources waiting to be discovered,” reads the DLC's description on Steam.
To mark the partnership, MINTROCKET studio director Jaeho Hwang said:
“Both games are set underwater, but Subnautica has such a distinct approach to underwater exploration, so working with the Subnautica 2 team gave us a chance to bring a new wave to the Dave the Diver experience.”
Subnautica 2 creative director Anthony Gallegos also commented:
“It’s clear that we both adore one another’s games a lot, and the expansion is a love letter to both Dave the Diver and the Subnautica universe. People are in for a treat.”
The Dave the Diver x Subnautica 2 DLC is set to arrive in early 2027 on all available platforms.
