HoYoverse, the developer behind hit gacha titles Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero, has officially opened sign-ups for the second playtest of its upcoming game, Honkai: Nexus Anima.
Alongside the announcement, HoYoverse released the Evolution Teaser: Until We Meet and launched a series of recruitment campaigns offering players a chance to secure test access and exclusive merchandise.

The Until We Meet teaser offers a fresh look at Iia, the town where players begin their journey in Honkai: Nexus Anima. According to the teaser, the town is currently undergoing renovations, as excitement builds ahead of the upcoming Championship qualifiers.
HoYoverse also released an Evolution Test Gameplay Showcase through the game's official social media channels, highlighting a number of visual and design improvements since its initial reveal.
The footage shows enhanced lighting, shadows, and environmental detail across both characters and locations, giving the world a more vibrant and dynamic appearance. Players also get another look at several Anima companions throughout the city. Beyond combat, the showcase suggests that these creatures will play a larger role in exploration, with some able to be carried, mounted, interacted with, or seen taking part in activities around the world.
How can I get Evolution Test access for Honkai: Nexus Anima?
Players looking to participate in the Evolution Test can enter a recruitment campaign through the game's official social media channels. To qualify, participants must follow the official Honkai: Nexus Anima accounts, complete the recruitment questionnaire, and quote repost the designated X post. Entries must also include the player's HoYoverse Account ID together with the hashtags #HonkaiNexusAnima and #NexusAnimaEvolutionTest.
Selected participants will then receive access to the upcoming test.
How can I win physical merchandise for signing up for Honkai: Nexus Anima?
In addition to the playtest recruitment, HoYoverse is also running a separate giveaway that offers players a chance to win limited-edition Honkai: Nexus Anima merchandise.
To enter, players must visit the official event page and complete a series of participation tasks. These tasks include registering for the Evolution Test, sharing information about the test, and following the game's official social media accounts. Once all requirements have been completed, the event's draw function will be unlocked, allowing participants to immediately enter for a chance to win physical rewards.
The promotion runs from 22 June, 2026 at 12.00 PM SGT until 3 July, 2026 at 11.59 PM SGT. Each HoYoverse account may only participate once during the event period, with duplicate entries and multiple wins not permitted. Any unused draw opportunities will expire once the event concludes.

What is Honkai: Nexus Anima?
Originally teased during a Honkai: Star Rail anniversary concert, Honkai: Nexus Anima is a creature-collecting adventure strategy game that centres on building a roster of Anima companions and combining their abilities in battle.
Players can recruit and bond with different Anima, each tied to a specific concept and set of powers. Those abilities can then be mixed and matched to create different team compositions, combat strategies, and approaches to exploration. The game's world is built around Nexus, invisible bonds that connect opposing concepts such as Love and Hate, Light and Dark, and Life and Death. According to the official description, those connections are suddenly severed by a mysterious rupture, scattering their remaining power across the land in the form of Anima.
"From this fractured order, players embark on a journey," the description explains. Through missions and combat, players will forge bonds with Anima, unlocking abilities that reflect the concepts they embody. Those powers can be combined in different ways, creating new tactical options while also influencing how players navigate and interact with the game's world.
