This is the organisation's first-ever grand finals appearance in an international VALORANT tournament.
Leviatán are heading to their first-ever international VCT grand final after sweeping
EDward Gaming 3-0 in the lower final of VALORANT Masters London 2026.
The Americas representatives proved too much for EDG on Saturday, taking Haven 13-5, Pearl 13-9, and Split 13-11 to secure their place in the tournament's championship match. The result marks the first time the organisation has reached the grand final of an international VCT event.
Leviatán had a strong start to the tournament, having dominated the Swiss Stage by swiftly defeating
Global Esports 2:1 in the first round, and
NRG 2:1 in the second round, to make it to the Playoffs. At the Playoffs, they dropped to the lower bracket after getting defeated by
Paper Rex. They then made a historic lower bracket run, defeating
Team Heretics 2-1 in the Lower Bracket Round 1, then eliminating
XLG Esports 2-0 at the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals, and Team Vitality 2-0 at the Lower Bracket Semifinal, to make it to the Lower Bracket Finals, to face EDG.
EDG, on the other hand, had automatically qualified for the Playoffs as VCT China’s first seed. The began strong with a win agains
FUT Esports 2-1 at the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals, then won against XLG Esports 2-1 at the Upper Bracket Semifinals, but dropped to the Lower Bracket after getting defeated by Paper Rex 2-1 at the Upper Bracket Finals.
Leviatán put EDward Gaming on the back foot on Haven
Leviatán wasted little time taking control of the series opener. A dominant defensive half saw the Americas squad race to a 10-2 lead, leaving EDward Gaming with a mountain to climb after the side swap.
EDG managed to pick up a handful of rounds in the second half, but the gap proved too large to overcome. Leviatán comfortably closed out Haven 13-5 to draw first blood in the lower final.
Pearl pushes Leviatán to match point
EDward Gaming found more success on Pearl, but Leviatán remained a step ahead when it mattered most. Holding an 8-4 advantage at halftime, Leviatán repeatedly shut down EDG's attempts to string rounds together and prevented the Chinese side from building any meaningful momentum. The 13-9 victory moved Leviatán within a single map of their first international VCT grand final.
Split sends Leviatán to the grand final, eliminates EDG
With elimination on the line, EDward Gaming delivered their strongest showing of the series on Split. Unlike the opening two maps, neither side was able to create much separation on the scoreboard as rounds traded back and forth throughout the contest.
EDG threatened to extend the series, but Leviatán held their nerve in the closing stages, ending in a 13-11 win and complete the 3-0 sweep to win the series, and secured Leviatán's first appearance in an international VCT grand finals.
With their win, Leviatán move on to the grand finals of VALORANT Masters London, where they will face VCT Pacific's Paper Rex on Sunday (22 June) at 9.00 PM SGT.
Meanwhile, EDG bow out of the competition in third to fourth place, taking home US$ 125,000 in consolation.
