Everything we know about Alien: Isolation 2
Alien: Isolation 2 follows the original game released more than a decade ago. The 2014 title was inspired by the critically acclaimed Alien film franchise, which started all the way back in 1979.
The original is a single-player action-adventure game featuring strong stealth and survival elements, much like the films that inspired it. Players step into the shoes of Amanda Ripley–daughter of Ellen Ripley–navigating space stations, completing objectives, and avoiding deadly alien threats.
Alien: Isolation received widespread critical acclaim, selling more than two million copies within its first year and earning numerous year-end awards.
Development of the sequel was officially confirmed in 2024 during the original game's 10th anniversary celebration. Now, fans have finally received their first glimpse of what lies ahead in the Alien universe.
The reveal trailer, ironically, didn't reveal as much details as fans would've liked, but one thing is certain, the iconic Xenomorph will return.
While no release date or launch window has been announced, the game is unlikely to arrive anytime soon and will probably still be a year–or more–away, based on a typical major game development timeline.
