Arknights Endfield to launch Version 1.1 on 12 March with new Operators, story content

Arknights: Endfield will launch its Version 1.1 update, titled “Old Deep Water Dies, by Rising Tide It is Denied”, on 12 March.

Arknights: Endfield is receiving its first major content update since launching over a month ago, with Version 1.1 bringing a set of new content and rewards. The update is set to go live on 12 March.

A spin-off of 2019’s Arknights, the game takes players on a sci-fi adventure which blends the standard gacha playstyle with unique building mechanics.

The plot begins centuries ago, when pioneers from the planet Terra had colonised a moon known as Talos-II, travelling through a portal called the Aethergate. After the portal collapsed, the stranded civilians of Terra were forced to rebuild. Various factions now both cooperate and compete with one another, all while hunting for resources in a land plagued by a supernatural phenomenon.

With the Version 1.1 update, more content is coming to Talos-II. Developer Hypergryph is introducing a variety of new content, including Operators, building technology, locations and story content.

Tangtang and Rossi arrive as new Operators in Version 1.1

Two new Operators will be available to recruit in the upcoming update: Tangtang, a 6-star Caster, and Rossi, a 6-star Guard.

Tangtang is a 6-star Caster from the Feline race, who is the Supreme Chief of the Qingbo Stockade. She specialises in AoE Cryo damage and support. Her Ultimate ability, DA CHIEF SEES YOU!, immobilises all enemies within range, creating a valuable window for her squad to deal significant damage.

Rossi, a 6-star Guard, is the leader of the Wulfgard pack. In search of heroic adventures and some “me-time”, she joins the Endfield faction. She is currently the only Operator capable of converting Arts Infliction on enemies into Vulnerability (defence break). This mechanic makes her a powerful asset for physical-focused squads, as she can shred enemy defences and enable the team’s primary damage dealers to maximise their output.

Other additions in Version 1.1

Hypergryph is encouraging beginners to complete Chapter 1 milestones, offering beginner mission rewards totalling 10 Chartered Headhunting Permits. Players who have already completed these objectives will be able to claim their rewards from the event page once the update launches.

New sign-in events–Gently Flows Qingbo and Pearl of the Pack–will offer limited-time permits. Additional limited-time activities include Exploration Day, which tasks players with farming at Originium Science Park, and Survival Training, which allows experimentation with Industrial Explosives.

AIC Quota acquisition has also been expanded. Players will now receive Quotas for obtaining 4-, 5-, and 6-star Operators for the first time. Those who have already acquired them can claim the corresponding Quotas via in-game mail.

On top of that, Endministrators will be able to optimise endgame weapon builds by creating Essences with three customised stats using the newly introduced Valley Multi-Line Engraving Kit, obtainable through the Stock Redistribution system.

The Version 1.1 update also addresses previous feedback regarding user experience, introducing widespread controller improvements. One change improves construction precision, ensuring connections no longer snap during dialogue or combat triggers. A dedicated button has also been added to allow players to move facilities more easily.

A new exploration HUD will enable players to access the minimap and world map while using ziplines. Additionally, Operators will now enter Protocol Spaces with maximum HP and Ultimate Energy. Red Flash enemy attack telegraphs have also been refined for improved visibility.

Hypergryph has teased further content for Version 1.2, in which the Endministrator will join forces with Tianshi Zhuang to defend the Xiranite Dam from a sudden siege by Ardashir. The future update will introduce two new maps, an outpost, and a new fluid-based production system for the AIC Factory.
