Here are all the winners and finalists of The 2025 Steam Awards.
Gamers on Steam have spoken! The 2025 Steam Awards, hosted by the game platform Steam, featured 11 award categories, with nominees, finalists, and winners all determined by community votes.
Voting took place from 19 December to 4 January, running alongside the Steam Winter Sale. With the results now in, the full lineup of winners has been revealed.

Hollow Knight: Silksong headlines The 2025 Steam Awards winners
Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight: Silksong has won Steam’s Game of the Year, notably beating Clair Obscur: Expedition 33–the winner of The Game Awards’ Game of the Year, which swept nine awards at the prestigious show. Other finalists in this category included Arc Raiders, Dispatch, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Silksong also bagged a second award. Notorious for its difficulty, the game received the most votes for “Best Game You Suck At”.
Expedition 33 was not left empty-handed, taking home the trophy for Best Soundtrack at The Steam Awards, beating Deltarune, Rift of the Necrodancer, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Tokyo Xtreme Racer.
This year, The Midnight Walk was voted Best VR Game, outlasting finalists PAVLOV, Emissary Zero, F1 25, and Le Mans Ultimate. It’s a highly praised VR experience with landscapes handcrafted from real clay and animations done via stop motion.
The Labor of Love Award, dedicated to games kept alive through continuous developer effort, went to Baldur’s Gate. It prevailed over finalists Helldivers II, No Man’s Sky, RUST, and Dota 2.
Hades II, one of the most talked-about games of 2025, won the Best Game on Steam Deck award, beating Digimon Story Time Stranger, BALL X PIT, Clover Pit, and Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor.
Among co-op games, PEAK earned the Better With Friends Award, surpassing titles like Split Fiction, R.E.P.O., SCHEDULE, and Battlefield 6.
Popular horror game Silent Hill f took home the Outstanding Visual Style Award, defeating Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, Dream BBQ, My Little Puppy, and Doom: The Dark Ages.
The Most Innovative Gameplay Award went to Arc Raiders, outlasting finalists Europa Universalis V, Mage Arena, Escape From Duckov, and Blue Prince for showcasing creativity.
The superhero-themed Dispatch earned the Outstanding Story-Rich Game Award, beating The Last of Us: Part II Remastered, Dying Light: The Beast, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, and No, I’m Not Human.
Finally, for cozy gaming experiences, RV There Yet won the Sit Back and Relax Award, topping Megabonk, Chill With You: Lofi Story, Slime Rancher 2, and Power Wash Simulator 2.
