Bandai Namco Entertainment partners with Playasia to distribute merchandise
Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially announced a partnership with Playasia, in order to bring its merchandise into local Southeast Asian countries. Playasia is an online retailer platform that offers video games, collectibles, and various merchandise for video game fans to browse and purchase.
The online retailer will now serve as Bandai Namco Entertainment’s exclusive e-commerce distribution partner in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines, distributing merchandise related to its various IPs and franchises.
These franchises include iconic titles like Tekken, Elden Ring, PAC-MAN, Little Nightmares, Tales of, and more. To help fans find this merchandise more easily, the platform’s website now has a section specifically dedicated towards displaying Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia-related merchandise, including new releases and pre-orders.
On the Tekken side of things, franchise head Katsuhiro Harada announced last week that he would be departing publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment. That means Harada is also leaving the Tekken franchise for good by the end of 2025, leaving the future of the franchise something of a mystery.
