An X user has leaked the Overwatch 2 and Gundam Wing collaboration skins featuring Wing Gundam Zero and more.
Blizzard previously announced the Overwatch 2 and Gundam Wing collaboration on its official social media accounts last week. Not long after the announcement, however, an X (formerly Twitter) user, @OverwatchNaeri, has allegedly leaked the upcoming skins from the collaboration. The leak has revealed that the collaboration will feature skins for four heroes: Mercy, Ramattra, Reaper and Soldier 76.
The leaker also stated that each hero will get a skin based on the Mobile Suits from the Gundam Wing series. Mercy will get a Wing Gundam Zero Endless Waltz version skin, Ramattra will don a Gundam Epyon skin, Reaper will get a Gundam Deathscythe skin, and Soldier 76 will get a Tallgeese skin.
Season 16 sees the debut of Freja, a new playable damage hero in the game. Freja is a highly-skilled bounty hunter who used to be a part of Overwatch’s search and rescue team. Blizzard has shared that she is one of the more complicated heroes to master in the shooter’s roster.
The new season also adds a new mode called Stadium, where players compete in five-versus-five matches in a best-of-seven series. The mode also brings one of the most requested features by the community: hero bans in competitive play.
Stadium incorporates three internal modes: Push, Control, and Clash. At launch, only 17 heroes will be available to play. More heroes will be added in future seasons. The mode also features a role queue system with one Tank, two Damage, and two Support heroes. Players can purchase items and powers between rounds to modify their abilities using Stadium Cash, which is rewarded to players based on their in-game performance.
The Overwatch 2 and Gundam Wing collaboration will be released on 29 April, 2025, a week after the launch of Season 16.
