Shroud finally fulfilled his promise to make a Marvel Rivals esports team with the announcement of SHROUD-X.
Popular streamer and former Counter-Strike and VALORANT professional player Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek has fulfilled his promise to make an esports team with his SHROUD-X Marvel Rivals team. Shroud made the announcement on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday (12 March), with the team featuring seven players in its roster and three staff to handle the management side.
Here is the list of SHROUD-X members:
- Window
- dongmin
- Impuniti
- Doomed
- Vision
- Fidel
- Nuk
- Gator (Coach)
- Branchies (Manager)
- Danan (Director of Operation)
The team is a fruit of Shroud's promise during his Fragathon, where one of his donation goals was to make an esports team. Marvel Rivals will be SHROUD-X's first venture into the esports scene, joining a number of prominent organisations such as Fnatic, Sentinels, OG, and Virtus.pro, among others.
Marvel Rivals' esports scene has been steadily growing since the game's official release on 6 December, 2024. Not only are major organisations starting to chip into the ecosystem, streamers and gaming personalities have also continually stuck with the game months after its launch. The game already successfully launched Season 0 of the Marvel Rivals Championship.
Currently, Marvel Rivals will host another Marvel Rivals Invitational, this time for North America following the conclusion of the EMEA Invitational. Virtus.pro came out on top against OG in the grand finals and won US$40,000.
SHROUD-X hasn't announced its debut outing yet, but they are expected to participate in the upcoming Marvel Rivals Invitational.
