The remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater has finally revealed its release date, and it's on point with the leak.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, officially revealed its release date during the State of Play, after the information was accidentally leaked by the PlayStation Store. The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is 28 August, 2025. The trailer itself showcased The Cobra Unit, the enemy of Naked Snake, who is the 'father' of Solid Snake, the main character of Metal Gear Solid series.

On the PlayStation Blog, Noriaki Okamura, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Producer from Konami Digital Entertainment, said that he was proud to finally share the release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. He also said that the most important mission was not to let the fans down, and ensured them that they aren’t giving an inch on quality, even if it takes more time to do so.
Besides the enhanced graphics, new animations, and modernisation of the control system, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater also brought in a third-person over-the-shoulder view in addition to the classic top-down view, which is now called Legacy Style. Noriaki Okamura shared a little bit regarding the camera POV choice:
The Legacy Style camera and controls might be tricky to get used to, which is why we designed New Style so that contemporary gamers can jump right in.

There is also a quick way to change camo on the fly, with the quick menu so players don't need to open the start menu to change camouflage. He also stated that the original story and setting are, of course, untouched.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is slated for release on 28 August, 2025 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.
