Diablo 4 Season 3 kicks off next week, introducing customisable robot companions to follow players around.
Blizzard Entertainment has officially revealed details from Diablo 4 Season 3, officially titled Season of the Construct. This season is themed after mechanical Constructs unleashed onto Sanctuary by the demon Malphas, who has taken over a Loom designed by Zoltun Kulle and Ayuzhan of Caldeum. Ayuzhan will star in this season’s main questline, which revolves around taking down Malphas and destroying his Constructs.

Constructs invade Sanctuary in Diablo 4 Season 3
Diablo 4’s next season takes players beneath the sands of Kehjistan, where the Loom is being used by the demon Malphas for nefarious purposes. One of the loom’s creators, Ayuzhan will lead you through a new type of dungeon called Vaults to stop Malphas and his monstrous robotic Constructs from destroying Sanctuary.
The story begins in a town center underneath Kehjistan called Gatehall, which serves as the player’s new base of operations in Season 3. The Gatehall will be the player’s conduit to access deadly Vaults riddled with elemental hazards and Constructs, but must be beaten to get to the Loom and harness its power. The seasonal questline will have players beat the Vaults, get to the Loom and defeat Malphas in a new boss fight.
Where previous seasons had players augment their powers using Malignant hearts and vampire powers, this season does things slightly differently: players will acquire their Construct-like companion called a Seneschal, which aids players in combat. They can customise their Seneschal using Governing and Tuning Stones from this season’s new resource pool to finetune their build of choice. These Stones can be acquired mostly by completing Vaults, but also by playing Arcane Tremors and completing the Season Journey.
While the quality-of-life updates included with Season 3’s first patch aren’t too extensive, they do include another stash tab, always-on Helltides and WASD controls for PC. Season of the Constructs kicks off on January 23, one day after the current Season of Blood ends.
