In one of the most predictable moves in the post-TI11 shuffle, Soniqs dropped the entire roster almost two months after entering the Dota 2 scene.
Soniqs entered the Dota 2 space at the beginning of August 2022 by signing the Arlington Major qualified North American team Quincy Crew. It was the first Major of the year for the team, but despite a stable performance through the entire NA Dota Pro Circuit online regional leagues, their Major run came to an early end, in the group stage.
That pushed Soniqs into the NA regional qualifiers for The International 2022, which they won with flying colors, bringing the Soniqs banner to the TI stage within weeks after being signed.
However, the TI experience was short-lived. Much like at the Arlington Major, Soniqs lost key battles in the group stage matches and were pushed to a best-of-one three-way tiebreaker with elimination on the line. It was the SEA representative, BOOM Esports, who handed Soniqs the final blow and eliminated them in the 17-8th place at TI11.
A day after the International 2022 (TI11) concluded in Singapore, Soniqs released the entire team.

In their official announcement, Soniqs did not give any details regarding their commitment to the Dota 2 scene. It is unclear if the NA organization will sign another team for the 2023 competitive season. Also, the now former Soniqs members did not share any information regarding their plans for the next year.
Soniqs was the fourth organization in the past 4 years that signed Quincy Crew and dropped them right after TI. While the roster witnessed several changes over the years, the core of Quincy Crew has been previously sponsored by Forward Gaming, Chaos Esports Club and Newbee. Last year, at TI10, Quincy Crew decided to attend the pinnacle Dota 2 tournament without an organization backing them up and they placed 9-12, taking home $800,400. At the 2022 edition, under the Soniqs banner, the team placed 17-18th earning just $47,228.
After being officially released by Soniqs, the team manager, Jack "KBBQ" Chen, who's been with Quincy Crew for the past five years, posted on Twitter that he is looking for mid and position 4 players, “for a special mission.”
The next DPC season is set to begin on December 11 with the open qualifiers for Divison II. The first tour of regional leagues will then commence next year, with Division I running between January 9-23 and Division II scheduled for January 30-February 19.
