Infamous replaces Digital Chaos SA in PGL Open Bucharest

Initially qualified for the PGL Open Bucharest, Digital Chaos SA got replaced due to their recent roster change. Infamous and SG e-sports fought for the available slot.

Earlier this week, Digital Chaos SA lost two of their players and unfortunately, they haven’t been able to find replacements in time to even lock in the roster for the Dota Pro Circuit. The incident triggered their elimination from the only minor they qualified for, and apparently, the team’s disbandment is imminent as well.

Infamous and SG e-sports have been invited by the PGL Open Bucharest organizers to duel in a best-of-five replacement where Infamous came on top with a 3-1 victory over the Brazilian team.

PGL Open Bucharest is just two weeks away from its start and it will be the second event from the beginning of the new season for Infamous who also qualified for the DreamLeague Season 8 major. Yesterday, it’s been announced that Infamous received a direct invite to the Galaxy Battles - Emerging Worlds from January 2018 which secures a total of three Pro Circuit events for them already of which two are majors, each with 1500 TI8 qualifying points on the line.

The road to TI8 will commence for Infamous on the 19th of October, in Bucharest, Romania at the PGL offices where eight teams will fight for the 300 qualifying points and $300,000 prize pool. The event will be played across four days October 19-22, in a GSL group stage format followed by a single elimination bracket. Evil Geniuses and LGD Gaming received direct invites to the event, the rest of the six qualified teams being Team Secret, Immortals, VG J.Thunder, Na’Vi, Mineski, and Infamous.
