SK Gaming secure Champions' title at cs_summit

The Brazilian roster bagged yet another tournament title last night, as they were able to best Gambit Esports in the grand final of the first edition of cs_summit. A total of three maps were seen, as the Brazilians entered the series with a map advantage, due to advancing through the winners' finals. The initial map, de_inferno was conceded to the CIS mix with a 10:16 score. After  a disappointing loss, SK re-focused and absolutely demolished their opponent on de_Cache, securing a spectacular 16:2. Concluding the series, and subsequently the tournament, was de_Train. The map proved to me evermore closer than the previous result, and ever so nearly saw a fourth map, however SK prevailed and bagged the $63,750, as well as the trophy.

PGL announce details regarding Europe & Americas Minor Championship

With the fairly recent announcement of the PGL Major Kraków 2017, the tournament organisers have started releasing details regarding the Minor Championship Series. The first announcement outlined specific details about the European Minor Championship (PGL adjusted the dates of the qualifiers shortly after the initial announcement, due to overlap with the European qualifier for ESL One: Cologne 2017), outlining the scheduling for the four open qualifiers, closed qualifier and LAN finals. On this occasion the organisers have opted to not issue direct invites to the LAN finals of the Europe Minor, however on the contrary, the Americas Minor will see two teams invited to the LAN finals, with five teams qualifying via the North American open qualifier and a single team qualifying straight to the LAN finals via the South American open qualifier.

North and G2 Esports invited to ESL One: Cologne 2017

The Danish and French representatives have received direct invites to the LAN finals of ESL One: Cologne 2017, once again taking place at the Laxness Arena in Cologne, Germany on July 7th-9th. This year the tournament was not granted a Major status, nevertheless the team line-up is looking solid. As per usual the tournament will feature sixteen participants - twelve invited and four qualified. Of the invited teams, so far a total of eight have been announced, featuring the likes of FaZe Clan, Fnatic, Natus Vincere, Virtus.pro, Ninjas in Pyjamas, SK Gaming, G2 Esports and North. As for the qualifiers, two slots have been allocated to the European qualifiers, one to the North American and one to the final qualifier, the region of which has not yet been revealed.

Schedule announced for Intel Extreme Masters XII - Sydney

With the LAN finals of Intel Extreme Masters XII - Sydney just over a week away, ESL have revealed details on scheduling for the event. The ~$200,000 prize pool event will be taking place at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia this May 3rd-7th, featuring a total of eight participants. Six of said participants received direct invites, whilst two teams made their way through the Oceanic and Chinese qualifiers.
