Player Spotlight: INTERNETHULK, making the dream work

In this series from GosuGamers, we are going to help introduce some of the best players that Overwatch already has to offer. Because of the arena shooter scene, many of the current top players have been competing in a variety of similar games over the years. These player profiles will provide you information on previous competitive history (including team history) as well as a short highlight of the player's Overwatch preferences. Let's have a look at world's best Overwatch team: IDDQD.

Gaming History

INTERNETHULK, always written out in full caps because reasons, is the main man behind IDDQD. A seasoned eSports athlete, Dennis used his experience to build and manage this current top team. Prior to Overwatch, HULK spent many years competing in a variety of games. He first started with shooters (Call of Duty 1 & 2), then moved to World of Warcraft during Wrath of the Lich King, eventually gained the most success until now in StarCraft 2, and also tried out and achieved some unique feats in League of Legends.

Though always only missing a little to go professional, Dennis did play for a number of teams. StarComa and coolTronik might be familiar to some of the original Call of Duty spectators, and Alien Invasion was a pretty notable German StarCraft 2 team. All of this experience is currently really paying off, and has made IDDQD both one of the most stable teams and of course the most successful team to date.

Quickfire questions:
Esports or eSports? eSports!!!
Offensive or Defensive Teleporter? Defensive. Play safe = profit!
Support is about healing or utility? Both. Personally I like shields.

While IDDQD is a team of playmakers, INTERNETHULK was one of the first players to get a lot of recognition for his support play. Particularly his dedication to Symmetra was one of the key parts to their earlier success, until all other teams realized the power of Symmetra's whole kit (shields, turrets and teleporter). Not only on defense, but on offense and even Control maps as well, Symmetra provides enough utility and shielding (especially with the recent nerfs to Zenyatta's orbs). His favorite hero however, is Zarya. Zarya has had some difficulty in competitive in the past, but whenever Symmetra isn't worth the pick HULK likes sticking to Zarya, a hero he is also very comfortable with. His preference for quirky characters like these two is going to provide IDDQD a big advantage in the future when other unconventional heroes get added to the game.
