WC3L Playday 11 Preview

As you all know the last playday of this season's Warcraft III Champions League is behind the corner. It is only one playday left and right now it seems like almost any team can make it to the offline finals in Cologne this November.

The only team who can be sure to reach the offline event right now is Meet Your Makers which has a five point lead over SK on the second place. The most they can fall would be to the second place and they would still be qualified for Cologne. After MYM there is a stiff competition for the second place and for the qualification spots. SK is currently second with 25 points then we have three teams on 24 points which would be more than placed grabbing SK's second place in the table.

A team who is in a lot of trubble this season would be 4K who so far has dominated WC3L. They are currently placed eight in the table and in the next round they face We Are GO (former NoA), placed third. 4K does not only have to win their match, they also have to hope for good results in the other matches. Mouz has to lose to Bet or if they win huge 4K still have a chanse. But the best thing would be Bet beating Mouz with 5-0 or 4-1 while 4K beat GO with 3-2 or more. At the same time mTw will have to loose points to SK. It is possible, but it will be a hard task to master for the kings.

In the bottom we have wNv and Fnatic. They are both at 19 points right now. But wNv has played all their matches for the season while Fnatic has one match left against World Elite. World Elite is currently placed at the fourth place in the table with 24 points. They will not give away any points for free to Fnatic as they are hunting SK and hope to grab the second place so they don't have to qualify for the offline finals. Fnatic will have to steal at least two points from the Chinese team to avoid being last as they will also have a penalty point and miss one point.

A lot can now happen when we have reached the last playday. In fact all teams have a teoretic chanse of reaching the qualifications, but some teams will need a lot of help from others. This is one of the closest seasons so far in the WC3L. If I would have to predict the outcome of this playday I think that MYM and SK will take the first and second place and get their tickets to Cologne. Then after those two teams it can go either way. I think that World Elite will beat Fnatic and grab the third place. Then we have BeT playing versus Mouz. The winner here will have a great chance of getting in the qualifications. My bet would be on Bet winning with a 3-2 score.

Then we have the exciting match between 4K and We Are Go. If the score between Bet and Mouz is 3-2 then 4K will have to win 4-1 to reach the qualification as they lost their match against Mouz. I don't think BeT will master this task. I think they will win with a 3-2 score but this will make them end up at the same amount of points as Mouz. If this happens then Mouz will go on to the qualifications. So the faith of 4K will be in the hands of Bet and Mouz. I don't think that mTw will be a big problem as they have to face SK in the last playday.

I would predict MYM and SK to go directly to Cologne while WE, GO, Bet and Mouz will have to qualify. But this is just my predictions, anything can happen in the last playday.

As you can see this will be one of the more exciting last playday´s of WC3L so far. Almost everything can happen. Whoever manages to reach the offline finals in Cologne this promises for a great ending of this season with a lot of good matches. All I can do now is say: Good Luck, and the players will now have the future in their hands. It is now the routine of the players is very important and to be cool is everything.
