The Swedish company of underdogs Dandido, Frezzar and Nabutte, along with Iceland's Kaldi, are the winners of the DreamHack Summer BYOC bracket for Hearthstone. The last two groups are thus filled up and ready to start at 18:00 CET.
The final rounds of the BYOC bracket were the death of the last big names remaining in the qualifier tournament. After falling to Kaldi and Frezzar in the upper bracket finals, home-turf warriors Dandido and Frezzar dropped down to the lower bracket where Curse's Kitkatz and PkD's Lothar were waiting.
By 15:00 CET, both of these big names were eliminated, starting with Kitkatz who couldn't get past Nabutte's aggro Rogue. The Swede had brought a deck similar to Backspace's Mukla Rogue and used it to crush Kitkatz's signature Warrior as well as his Hunter in a convincing 2-0. This ended Kitkatz's long run through the bracket which saw him defeat established players including Legendaren and Xixo.
The second lower bracket series between Lothar and Dandido ended up a wild one. Playing a bit conservatively, Lothar found himself one damage short of lethal on his miracle Rogue, allowing Dandido's Handlock to take the lead. Game two started horribly for the Pole as well, but never giving up proved the right decision as Dandido's hand was as useless as it was large. The 1-1 tie led into a Druid mirror which started with a T3 Ancient of Lore from the Swede which was followed up by perfect decision making throughout the later turns, including not playing a Ragnaros on empty board at the fear of Big Game Hunter. A 2-1 was scoreboarded in favor of Dandido and the Swede moved on over the PkD player.
