The cup stage for the EMS One Summer has concluded and the groups for the next phase have been drawn. Three groups of four will play out over two weeks in which the top two teams from each group will qualify for the offline LAN in Poland. How the eigth team will be determined has yet to be decided on.
EMS One Summer cup #4 sees Alliance delivering and securing themselves a spot for the groupstage. The Swedes needed to get at least 50 points but instead took the whole cup, displaying great performances, including an eight minute finish in the finals.
Following the cup was the drawing of the group stage. Over the stream, the twelve top teams have been drawn into three groups of four. The GSL-Style groups will be played out over a week and the two best teams of each group will qualify for the offline LAN finals in Poland. They will be joined by Evil Genuises who got ruled as the winner of the North-American qualifiers after Kaipi had been found guilty for using only two NA players and deceiving the admins by letting one player play with a fake nick. How the eighth team will be determined has yet to be decided on. A tiebreaker between the third placers of each group seems likely.
