The Austrian will miss out on both DreamHack Summer and HomeStory Cup VII due to an urgent surgery on his arm.
Philipp "monchi" Simon, one half of the Protoss squad of the XMG roster, will not be participating in the Summer edition of DreamHack 2013 as well as HomeStory Cup VII due to complications with an injury he acquired in a motocross accident two years ago, in October. According to the source his arm suffers from an infection that has put him in a serious situation and requires immediate surgery in order to function fully down the road.
monchi had an impressive run late last year, when he managed to win the EPS Germany, IeSF 2012 World Championship as well as completing DreamHack Open Winter all within two months. In the midst of all this he scored a one-year contract with XMG, a personal sponsor to XlorD, monchi and their latest additions, SaltTheWound and ToD on April 25th of this year. We hope for a speedy recovery of one the most surprising players of 2012.
