A riveting play by the youngster brought him his fourth first place finish in his career after pulling off a miraculous comeback against DongRaeGu.
All throughout the playoffs, Life had showed that he's not particularly comfortable in the mirror match up (at least not on Iron Squid grounds) but after two hard-fought 3-2's against Leenock and Goswser, the GSL royal-roader finally made it to Paris for the final rounds of Iron Squid.
A much easier 3-1 against MarineKing shot Life straight to yet another grand final, the fifth one for him since TSL 4. There, he awaited his last opponent and he soon appeared: in a set-for-a-set series five game series, DongRaeGu overpowered NesTea and entered the top two.
The match was a revenge encounter from Blizzard Cup 2012 and DRG came strong into it, dealing three straight losses to Life. Standing on the verge of elimination, the youngster was all do or die from here on.
Laughing in the face of death, Life took Ohana, Cloud Kingdom and Grand Lagoon to put the score back to equal and sweep the tables of morale hugely into his favor: Having lost such precious advantage could shake even a tournament veteran like DongRaeGu.
It was on Antiga Shipyard that the winner was determined and it was Life who stood victorious once again, having pulled off a comeback worthy of the tale. For this feat, Life is awarded $12,500 and the title for the second Iron Squid champion and successor of MMA.
