As if it weren't enough that he has run his SuperStar Showdown record to 7-1, he has been playing tournaments on the side, in addition.

Blom had a really deep run in the Super Tuesday tournament last week and this week he won the Tuesday $109 NLHE Rebuy $25k guaranteed tournament on PokerStars.

There was 201 players in the rebuy tournament and “Isildur1″ won $15,437 from his victory. Blom defeated respected American online player “The__D__RY” heads-up.

Anyone searching Isildur1 during his recent Sunday Superstar Showdown matches has noticed that Blom has also been playing Sunday tournaments in addition. He is often sitting with big stacks and going deep in them despite having his main focus on the four tables of heads-up matches.

When asked by a railbird fan why he was playing these lower stakes tournaments, he indicated he was just playing for fun and that he wanted to practice them in anticipation of the upcoming SCOOP series on PokerStars.

In his SuperStar Showdown's Blom has defeated Palmer, Daniel Negreanu, an online qualifier, Eugene Katchalov, Dan ‘jungleman12’ Cates, and Tony G while losing his first match to Isaac "philivey2694" Haxton.

Blom seems determined to improve his tournament game as well to add to his cash game reputation.
