Brian Hastings Profile

Brian Hastings is one of the best high stakes PLO players in the world. He started playing online during high school and was a triple threat player in tournaments, SNG's and cash games. He is a lead instructor at CardRunners poker training site. Hastings has won millions playing high stakes cash games online but he is most well known for having the most profitable single session ever online. In December 2009, Hastings played Viktor "Isildur1" Blom in a marathon session where he won $4.18 million against the Swede. He would later win another $1.5 million in a follow-up session effectively busting Isildur1 at the time. Hastings was born in 1988 in Hanover Township, Pennsylvania and splits his time between Ithaca and his parent's home currently.

He completed his Cornell University education and focused on having the typical fun of a college student while still playing poker in his spare time. He has also prioritized time away from playing studying the game and controlling his emotions so that when he does sit down to play he can profit optimally.
