Saksa to play for Team Yandex as stand-in

Saksa has joined Team Yandex’s campaign in DreamLeague Division 2 as a stand-in.

Renowned support player Martin “Saksa” Sazdov has been announced as a stand-in for Eastern European squad Team Yandex, joining the roster for the foreseeable future from Tundra Esports’ inactive lineup.

Saksa was benched by Tundra during the recent off-season–a surprising move considering his status within the team. He won The International 2022 under Tundra’s banner alongside long-time laning partner Neta “33” Shapira, and had remained with the organisation since, though he took a year-long break from competition between late 2023 and 2024.

Widely regarded as one of the best position four players in the world, Saksa boasts a prolific career. His accomplishments include a third-place finish at TI 2024, three major tournament victories in 2025, and many other podium placements. However, his most recent run with Tundra ended in a 7th–8th place finish at TI 2025–a mildly disappointing result given the team’s dominant form earlier in the season.

Soon after TI concluded, Tundra kicked off their roster reshuffle, with Saksa placed on the bench in the process.

Though many expected Saksa to remain inactive, similar to his previous break, news of his move to play for another team has come as a surprise. This will be his first official stint with a different team since 2022, aside from a brief unofficial appearance with Team Bald Reborn in June 2024.

Saksa to play for Team Yandex

Team Yandex, formed in June 2025, initially acquired the Cyber Goose stack, which had shown promising results across multiple qualifiers. The roster gained attention with names like Alexey “Solo” Berezin and Evgeniy “Noticed” Ignatenko, as well as prominent prodigy Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev, who was associated with the team as an ambassador.

Ahead of the 2025/2026 competitive season, Team Yandex made several significant roster changes. In an official Telegram announcement, the organisation confirmed the addition of former Gaimin Gladiators players Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov and Arman “Malady” Orazbayev.

Now, with Saksa joining the mix, Team Yandex has built a highly promising roster–at least for the duration of his stand-in period. The lineup looks strong on paper, but they’ll need to quickly find synergy, as they are currently competing in DreamLeague Division 2 Season 1, fighting for a spot at the DreamLeague Season 27 main event.
