TI12 tickets to go on sale next week at over $700

Tickets for The International 2023 will go on sale next week, Valve announced, but the prices have gone up once again.

This year’s edition of The International marks the return to the United States of Dota’s most important tournament. More so, the TI12 finals will be held in the Climate Pledge Arena, previously known as Key Arena, the home of TI. For the past four editions, The International went around the world, with editions being held in Canada, China, Romania and Singapore while Key Arena underwent a $1.15 billion renovation process, aiming to become the first certified zero carbon arena in the world, zero waste and zero plastic use.

With the venue fully restructured and ready to open its doors, The International returns home, but just for the final three days of the tournament.  Much like last year, TI12 will be held in two different venues.

TI12 schedule and format

TI12 will run from October 12 to 29, but the games will be held exclusively on weekend days. The entire event is split into two parts: Road to The International which includes the group stage matches (October 12-15) and the playoffs (October 20-22), and The International itself (October 27-29), which is basically the Main Event as fans know it from all previous editions.

Only the playoffs and final three days of the tournament will be open to the public and the ticket sale for these two parts will go on sale in two waves.

TI12 tickets prices and dates

Playoffs - October 20-22

TI12 playoffs will be hosted at Seattle Convention Center's Summit Building with tickets available for purchase on Ticketmaster starting on August 28th at 10 AM Pacific Time. Those planning to attend the playoffs will need to purchase a ticket for each day of the competition at $99 USD + fees per daily ticket.

The International - October 27-29

Moving into the final three days of the event, The International will unfold at Climate Pledge Arena. For this final part of the event, the tickets will be sold as a three-day pass for the full event, priced at $699 USD + fees per pass.

The International final three days tickets will go on sale on August 25th at 10 AM Pacific Time on Ticketmaster.

TI tickets price increase

Compared to the last time the TI was held in the US, back in 2017, the prices have more than doubled, which might come as an unpleasant surprise for the local fans. Compared to last year’s edition, which was held in Singapore, the prices have also gone up by a considerable amount. TI11 finals ticket pass for two days was $361.

To aid a little the price hike, Valve announced that for this year, those who will bind their Steam account to their pass will be granted one Treasure of the Crimson Witness, in addition to having a chance at receiving a drop at every first blood witnessed in the arena.
