As one of the oldest but at the same time the most accomplished pro players in the scene, The International 2015 Champion, Clinton 'Fear' Loomis returns to the competitive scene.
“The old man”, as he is respectfully called by the community, Clinton 'Fear' Loomis has been a part of the competitive scene since the very beginning of DotA days. He started his professional career back in 2006 when together with Ben 'Merlini' Wu and Jimmy 'DeMoN' Ho has been part of one of the very first sponsored DotA teams. Through his career, spanning over more than a decade, Fear has won everything a player can wish, including the most prestigious Dota 2 tournament, The International, two years ago, in 2015.
Fear has played for Evil Geniuses almost his entire career. He joined the boys in blue in 2011 and after he was forced to an extensive break due to a wrist injury in 2014, he returned and won TI5 from the carry position. Determined to become the first player to win two Internationals, Fear finished on the third place last year in Seattle and immediately after the event he announced his retirement. Through the past year, he was the team coach and he carefully supervised the EG roster going to The International 2017. Today, September 1st, 2017 marks his competitive comeback, but this time around, the 29 years old Fear will assume the position 5 support, position from which he will also captain the team.

The upcoming season is bound to be an extremely interesting one but also a very busy one, with 11 Minors and 11 Majors, bringing a new points system that will eventually determine the direct invites to TI8. Valve is yet to announce how will the points system exactly work, but the event organizers have already started to share info on the first Minors and Majors. For now, the only event that confirmed Evil Geniuses as one of the participants is The PGL Minor, Bucharest Open which will take place in Romania, Bucharest, October 19-22.
