Mindnumbing 40k gold comeback and MDL LAN for Clutch Gamers

Nothing short of extraordinary, Clutch Gamers secured their fourth LAN trip in less than a month with a spectacle of a series including a Mindnumbing 40k gold comeback.

In less than one month these Filipino sensations have taken the region by storm and ripped open the doors into the international scene. Starting at the end of April, the team secured themselves a place at premier events in all four corners of the world - Manila Masters, EPICENTER Moscow 2017, Summit 7 and MDL.

While it looks like nothing can stop this train - at least in the SEA region that is, the team that seems to be addicted to victories has done so in headturning ways, and have proved to be a strong contender for the direct invite from the SEA region.

It was in the second game of the grand finals series of MDL SEA qualifiers against Mineski that the world stopped and took a collective gasp. Down 40k gold, lesser teams would have buckled under the building pressure. Clutch Gamers shrugged off the critics and naysayers. With resiliency and mental fortitude that would make OG proud, the Filipinos staved off a defeat by defending their base and turning their focus on Mineski's barracks - taking down two sets of rax. The decision making and execution paid off - in the amount of 40k gold and their baffling comeback will go down in Dota 2 history.

Its difficult for a losing team to recover after a defeat, even more when the loss comes at the hands of a massive comeback. Game three was all but in the bag for Clutch Gamers - riding in on their momentum and sealing the deal for the series victory.

Clutch Gamers roster:

Philippines Kim Villafuerte 'Gabbi' Santos
Philippines Armel 'Armel' Paul
Philippines Kenneth 'FLYSOLO' Comma
Philippines Marvin Salvador 'Boombacs' Rushton
Philippines Rafael 'Rapy' Palo
